(Baltimore, MD) – Today, the Maryland SPCA announces an annual partnership with Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, anchored by their sponsorship of the MD SPCA’s 2nd annual No Place Like Home gala.
The just announced No Place Like Home gala will take place on February 24th, 2024, at the historic Baltimore Museum of Industry. The event aims to celebrate “All Things Charm City,” while honoring Merritt Companies and the continued impact that they’ve had on Baltimore. In addition to their sponsorship of the event, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood co-owner John Minadakis will sit as the honorary chair of the gala’s planning committee. Details and tickets for this fundraiser can be found at mdspca.org/NPLH.
John Minadakis says that “Giving back to our community has been a big part of Jimmy’s Famous Seafood for the past 50 years. We are excited to continue helping the animals of Baltimore through this partnership with the Maryland SPCA.” In recent years, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood has showcased their philanthropic efforts most notably through their Famous Fund providing extensive relief to local restaurants impacted by COVID-19, their annual golf tournament benefitting a variety of local and national charities, and their involvement with other animal welfare organizations.
“This partnership brings together two storied, Baltimore organizations who have so much to offer towards the future of our city,” adds Maryland SPCA Executive Director, Jess Lanzillotti. “We couldn’t think of better partners than the Jimmy’s Famous family to join our gala and to celebrate everything that Baltimore has to offer.”
