Ivory

Ivory came to the MD SPCA as a stray in Baltimore City. The exam team immediately noticed that this total sweetie was deaf and covered in abnormal alopecia.

His skin was scabby with bloody pustules. Even his paw pads showed ulceration, pustules, and bleeding with handling. The compassionate medical team gave Ivory a soothing medicated bath and started him on several medications for his skin.

Ivory went to an equally loving foster home, where he continued to receive these baths once a week as well as daily medication. He was under close observation for two months before he was finally cleared for adoption. His darling personality quickly attracted an adopter! Ivory now spends his days snuggling the other dog and cat in the home, lounging on the couch, going for walks, and eating ice cream!
