The Maryland SPCA is always in need of items for our animals. We have two wish lists, one for the animals and one for the animal caretakers so they can give the animals the best possible care.

Animals' Wish List

  • Wet cat food (grocery store varieties are good)*
  • Peanut butter (low sodium)
  • Kiddie pools (hard plastic)
  • Cat toys, including toy mice
  • Buster Cubes – puzzle balls to keep the dogs entertained
  • Kongs
  • Enrichment toys for our larger dogs such as:
    • Busy Buddy toys
    • Tire Biter Paw Tracks toys
    • Bike tires
    • Small basketballs
    • tennis balls
    • Soccer balls
  • PVC plumbing joints (extra large 6" fixtures, not tubing)*
  • Pasta colanders
  • Bath towels
  • Hand towels
  • New paint rollers*
  • Old vitamin bottles with child-safe lids
  • Fleece material, by the yard

No catnip, please.

 

Animal Caretakers' Wish List

  • PUR water filters that attach to the faucet*
  • Large plastic tubs (storage bins with lids, 15-25 gallons)*
  • Wash cloths*
  • Hand or dish towels*
  • Bleach
  • Dryer sheets
  • Laundry detergent
  • Paper towels
  • Large sponges
  • Grooming materials:
    • shaving clippers
    • shaving blades (no old ones, please)
  • Plastic litter pans for kittens and cats
  • Short-term holding cages for pre-surgery dogs ($5,000 for six units)
  • White copy paper
  • Color copy paper
  • Pens
  • Post-its, Stickies
  • Staplers
  • Stamps
  • Scissors
  • Highlighters

*There is an immediate need for these items.

 

At this time, we do not need additional toothbrushes.
