Our 2009 Pet Calendar (winners listed below)
The Maryland SPCA has changed the format of our Pet Calendar. The 2009 edition will be a sleek, colorful wall calendar featuring pictures of dogs, cats and other animals submitted by animal lovers. It is scheduled for release in September.
The deadline for submission of photos for our 2009 Pet Calendar Contest was June 2. Thank you to everyone who submitted a photo and paid the $35 entry fee. We received over 400 fabulous photos! Each photo submitted will appear in the calendar, and the entry fee covers the cost of one calendar. From the pool of entered pictures, we selected some of the most captivating high-resolution photos to feature on the cover and as a Pet-of-the-Month. The winners are listed below.
For those who entered our contest, we have tentatively scheduled two Calendar Pick Up nights in September. If your name begins with A-L, you can pick up your calendar on Monday, September 22. If your name begins with M-Z, you can pick up your calendar on Tuesday, September 23. Pick up will take place from 5:30 – 7:30 in the Headquarters House at The Maryland SPCA. If you are not able to pick up your calendar, it will be mailed to you in mid-October. Pick up saves us the cost of postage and gives us more money to help the animals.
After the calendar is printed, you will be able to purchase copies online. It will also be available for purchase at The Maryland SPCA and local retailers.
