All-Star Juniors Is Not Meeting until Spring Due to the Cold Weather
All-Star Juniors Puppy Playgroups
Welcome to All–Star Juniors puppy playgroups. We are committed to helping you create a positive and lasting relationship between you and your puppy. Many behavior problems can be prevented or solved with positive, consistent training and socialization. All-Star Juniors puppy play groups are designed to help teach you about common puppy behaviors such as jumping, nipping, barking, chewing, etc. Housebreaking techniques and basic obedience commands are introduced including sit, down, walking on a loose lead and starting to come when called. Puppies will learn as they play and socialize!
- Weather permitting, playgroups meet every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. for one hour.
- The class fee is $35 for the first session and only $5 each additional time you attend!
- All-Star Juniors is for puppies between the ages of 8-16 weeks.
Important Details
- Classes are rolling admission. Puppies may start any Sunday at 2:30 p.m. as long as they are between the ages of 8-16 weeks.
- The first class is $35 dollars. Each additional class is only $5 dollars.
- Registration and shot records are required at the time of the first class. Please bring these with you no later than 2:15 p.m. on the day of your first class. All vaccinations appropriate for your dog's age must be current.
- Classes meet on the grounds of The Maryland SPCA in front of the administration building and then move to the puppy fun runs behind the adoption center.
- Classes will be cancelled due to inclement weather. This includes temperatures above 90 degrees, below 45 degrees and rain or snow.
- Bring tiny bite sized treats that your dog loves to every class.
- All dogs should be wearing a buckle collar attached to a 4-6 foot leash. Retractable leashes, chains or ropes are not allowed.
- Special collars and harnesses will be available for sale at class.
- Any dog who is ill or presents a potential danger to people or other dogs or whose owner is abusive in class may be asked at the instructor’s discretion not to participate.
How to Register for All-Star Canine Class
- Download a registration packet, complete it and bring it to class along with proof of vaccinations and payment no later than 2:15 p.m. on the day of your first class.
