Shop-a-Paw-Looza 2008, our fourth annual online auction, is now closed for bidding. From October 3 through October 28, SPCA supporters bid on items on our auction website: www.mdspca.cmarket.com. Auction sponsors, item contributors and bidders enabled us to raise $41,700 for the animals. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Be a TV Star, the opportunity to star in a Public Service Announcement for the 2009 March for the Animals, attracted the highest bid. The most competitive items—those that received the most bids—were: two Ravens v. Eagles tickets, Be a TV Star, case of Fat Cat wines, a custom pet portrait by Gil Jawetz and a "Sheeps in Love" giclee print.
